Description

  • Own the roadmap for Unity’s platform support and determine investment priorities across emerging platforms.
  • Lead platform strategy by analyzing market trends and aligning plans with executive leadership.
  • Act as a player-coach by authoring strategy documents, reviewing technical specifications, and staying close to engine-hardware interactions.
  • Work with Business Development to negotiate platform deals and ensure commitments to hardware partners are technically deliverable.
  • Navigate dependencies across product and engineering teams to secure resources and support for hardware ecosystems.
  • Partner with R&D to define how AI-driven authoring and internal AI tooling evolve the engine and product management practices.
  • Represent Unity’s platform vision at industry conferences and provide strategic updates to global partners and platform holders.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Technical PMs while fostering data-informed decision-making and technical excellence.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience leading product strategy and shipping complex, highly technical products such as middleware, operating systems, developer tools, or large-scale integrations.
  • Strong technical depth and ability to work with architects and engineers on APIs, rendering pipelines, and hardware abstraction.
  • Experience managing high-stakes relationships with external partners and influencing internal stakeholders across a large organization.
  • Proven ability to untangle complex dependencies and ship products from strategy through execution.
  • Strong interest in emerging technologies, especially the intersection of generative AI and content creation.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain a multi-year technical roadmap to partners, executives, and the developer community.
  • Professional verbal and written English communication skills are required for frequent global collaboration.
  • Relocation support is not available for this role.
