Description

  • Gather and chase required information to support claims assessment and underwriting referrals.
  • Assess and approve claims, and communicate claim outcomes to customers clearly.
  • Communicate claim decline decisions professionally and sensitively.
  • Respond to claim enquiries and resolve inbound customer queries via phone and email.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers, veterinary practices, and third parties to progress claims.
  • Produce high-quality documentation and maintain accurate records in internal systems.
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner while meeting SLA and KPI targets.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of company products and participate in ongoing learning and development.
  • Share knowledge with colleagues and support other departments when required.
  • Identify and contribute to improvements in operational claims processes.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification or relevant work experience in Business Administration, Office Administration, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role.
  • Insurance and claims experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Competency in using internal systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to learn and maintain knowledge of company products and regulatory requirements.
