Description

  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in line with Australian accounting standards.
  • Support BAS, GST, and other statutory reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and process journal entries and complete account reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end closing and related reporting activities.
  • Review records, investigate discrepancies, and follow up on identified issues.
  • Maintain financial data using MYOB and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Respond professionally to internal and external financial queries.
  • Prepare financial schedules and supporting information for management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain supporting documentation and contribute to finance process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or similar experience.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian accounting principles, BAS, and GST requirements.
  • Experience preparing journals, account reconciliations, financial reports, and month-end support.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is preferred.
  • Experience with MYOB or a similar accounting system is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, organisation, and time management.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team and meet recurring deadlines.
  • Willingness to pursue further professional development, such as a CA or CPA pathway, is desirable.
