Description

  • Answer calls promptly and provide interpretation in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocol without omissions or additions.
  • Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation, enunciation, and polite expressions.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor throughout each call.
  • Follow client instructions and protocol when assisting limited English-speaking persons.
  • Avoid interacting with the limited English-speaking person without the client’s permission.
  • Provide purely interpretation services without handling escalations or resolutions.
  • Maintain punctuality and availability during scheduled work hours.
  • Work within a permanent night-shift schedule and a remote work setup.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English and in the relevant native language, with the ability to read and write.
  • Native-language proficiency for one of the supported language pairs: Khmer, Italian, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Portuguese Cape Verdean Creole, Russian, or Uzbek.
  • Open to nationals or permanent residents only.
  • Able to work from home on a 9-hour shift scheduled any time between 8pm and 8am Malaysia Time, including a 1-hour break.
  • Willing to work permanent night shifts.
  • Willing to work on weekends and public holidays.
  • Must have a stable home internet connection with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speed.
  • Must have a mobile phone running Android 6+ or iOS 12+.
  • Ability to speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation, enunciation, and polite expressions.

  • Salary of RM 30 per hour, approximately RM 4,800 per month.
