Description

  • Answer calls promptly and provide interpretation in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Interpret accurately between English and the assigned native language, following established interpretation protocols.
  • Convey concepts and meanings without omissions or additions.
  • Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation, enunciation, and polite expressions.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor throughout each call.
  • Follow client instructions and comply with protocol when supporting limited English-speaking persons.
  • Avoid direct interaction with the limited English-speaking person without client permission.
  • Work purely as an interpreter without handling escalations or providing resolutions.
  • Maintain punctuality and availability during scheduled work hours.
  • Work scheduled night shifts from home for 40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Excellent English and fluency in the relevant native language, including the ability to read and write.
  • Only nationals or permanent residents with sound knowledge of both languages are eligible.
  • Willingness to work from home on a schedule set by the client, with shifts between 8:00 pm and 8:00 am Malaysia Time.
  • Ability to work a 9-hour shift including a 1-hour break.
  • Own stable home internet with minimum speeds of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
  • Own mobile phone with Android 6.0 or above, or iOS 12 or above.
  • Willingness to work permanent night shifts.
  • Willingness to work on public holidays and weekends.
  • Language pair availability in one of the following combinations: English-Khmer-English, English-Italian-English, English-Bulgarian-English, English-Hungarian-English, English-Portuguese Cape Verdean (Creole)-English, English-Russian-English, or English-Uzbek-English.
