Description

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the general ledger structure, processes, and transactions.
  • Participate in month-end close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, SOX controls, and financial statement disclosures.
  • Work on special projects and process improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Streamline accounting policies and procedures.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and help improve and standardize processes.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and end-to-end documentation.
  • Manage prepaid expense accounts for US entities, including amortization schedules and coordination with Accounts Payable and Procurement.
  • Partner with the Benefits team on employee benefit-related accounts, expense recording, and vendor reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review payroll and related tax journal entries and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and review payroll-related cost allocations to business units and partner with FP&A on inputs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a finance or accounting-related field.
  • 1+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and month-end close processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Desire to learn new things and take on additional tasks to support the team.
  • CPA or CA license preferred.
  • Experience designing or executing internal controls preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle or another large ERP system and HR/payroll systems such as Workday preferred.
  • Public accounting or operational accounting experience with a public company preferred.
