Description

  • Translate spoken English dialogue into French while preserving tone, context, and cultural nuances.
  • Edit subtitles to match audio cues and visual pacing while maintaining readability, timing accuracy, and formatting standards.
  • Use industry-standard subtitle editing tools to prepare and localize subtitle files.
  • Proofread and review subtitles for grammar, spelling, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams and incorporate feedback into subtitle revisions.
  • Coordinate with project managers and editors across multiple projects.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet platform-specific technical and linguistic guidelines.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced media localization workflow.

Requirements

  • Native or near-native French proficiency at C1/C2 level, including strong knowledge of regional dialects and cultural references.
  • Strong English comprehension at C1/C2 level for both spoken and written content.
  • 1–2 years of experience in subtitle translation or editing in French.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven translation and localization tools.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable working with media content.
  • Must be living in Romania.
  • Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field in French is preferred.
  • Experience with streaming platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards is preferred.
