Description

  • Drive assigned public-road routes with a vehicle equipped with roof-mounted 360° cameras to capture images of streets, landmarks and public areas.
  • Operate and monitor in-vehicle camera systems and onboard computers to store collected images, video and audio data.
  • Follow detailed route assignments focused on commercial districts and historical sites, revisiting locations as needed to ensure best possible image quality.
  • Ensure collected data meets quality standards (clear images, complete coverage) and report equipment issues or anomalies to the project team.
  • Maintain vehicle readiness and perform basic upkeep of camera equipment, smartphones and related apps.
  • Adhere to safety, legal and project protocols, including security checks and respectful conduct in public spaces.
  • Log hours and route completion, and collaborate with project coordinators to receive route updates and feedback.
  • Work the expected schedule and be available for assigned shifts and occasional overtime when requested.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with at least 1–2 years of driving experience.
  • Must have a parking space available for a vehicle.
  • Legal authorization to work in Germany.
  • Ability to pass a security/background check.
  • Comfortable with frequent driving and a flexible schedule (Monday–Friday, ~8 hours/day, 40 hours/week; option to work more).
  • Responsible, reliable, self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Good driving skills and general automotive knowledge.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with smartphones and common apps.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness to work across multiple city/state zones and revisit areas due to weather or image-quality needs.

  • Minimum project duration of approximately 8 months covering multiple city/state zones.

  • Hands-on experience with 360° imaging equipment and contributing data to a major online map improvement project.
