Description

  • Own the end-to-end daily payment lifecycle across supported channels, including credit/debit cards, ACH, digital wallets, and wire transfers.
  • Monitor payment system performance, identify transaction failures, reconcile discrepancies, and troubleshoot operational incidents with Engineering and Finance.
  • Execute daily operational controls, including transaction monitoring and reporting, to support compliance with payment network rules and regulatory standards.
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in payment flows and lead efforts to automate manual tasks, improve processing speed, and reduce operating costs.
  • Support relationships and operational communications with third-party payment providers, processors, acquiring banks, and payment gateways.
  • Generate operational reports on authorization rates, chargeback volumes, fraud trends, and settlement timing.
  • Provide actionable insights to leadership based on payment performance data and trends.
  • Help ensure payment infrastructure and processes are secure, efficient, and aligned with customer experience and revenue integrity goals.

Requirements

  • 2 to 7 years of professional experience in the payments industry, such as FinTech, acquiring banks, payment processors, or a high-volume merchant environment.
  • Strong understanding of payment lifecycles, including authorization, clearing, and settlement for card networks.
  • Understanding of alternative payment methods such as ACH, SEPA, or RTP.
  • Ability to use internal tools and run basic SQL queries or similar data extraction methods.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets to identify operational trends and root causes of payment failures.
  • Experience working in a role that involves operational monitoring, reconciliation, and incident response in payments.
  • Experience with compliance and risk controls related to payment network rules and regulatory standards such as AML and KYC.
  • Familiarity with payment providers, processors, acquiring banks, and payment gateways is preferred.
