Description

  • Lead and mentor a team of Platform and Security Engineers.
  • Foster a high-performance engineering culture focused on ownership, reliability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance while empowering the team to execute independently.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and Leadership teams to align platform strategy with business goals.
  • Own and evolve cloud infrastructure on GCP.
  • Drive adoption and maturity of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and scaling of Kubernetes environments.
  • Champion GitOps practices using ArgoCD and Helm.
  • Build and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling.
  • Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices and improve reliability, performance, and incident response.
  • Define and track platform SLIs and SLOs.
  • Embed security into the development lifecycle and lead SOC 2 Type II compliance and privacy-by-design efforts.
  • Lead external security, compliance, and privacy engagement with enterprise clients.
  • Promote an “Everything as Code” mindset and improve developer experience through self-service tooling.

Requirements

  • Around 8 years of experience in Platform Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in leadership roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
  • Strong hands-on experience with GCP or other major cloud providers.
  • Strong hands-on experience with ArgoCD and Helm.
  • Strong hands-on experience with GitLab or GitHub and CI/CD automation.
  • Experience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry or the LGTM stack.
  • Deep understanding of DevOps, GitOps, and platform engineering principles.
  • Experience in security engineering and automation practices such as SAST, container security, configuration management, or WAF setups.
  • Solid understanding of compliance frameworks, especially SOC 2 Type II and GDPR.
  • Experience implementing privacy-by-design and secure-by-default systems.
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in clear, professional English to non-technical stakeholders and clients.
