Description

  • Lead and define the product data science strategy for advanced analytics, AI, and customer experience improvement.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior Product and Engineering leadership on data-driven decision making.
  • Drive development and adoption of scalable, automated, and reproducible data science tooling, platforms, and frameworks.
  • Explore and integrate emerging AI technologies, including Agentic AI and AI Agents, from proof of concept to production.
  • Champion best practices in experimentation, causal inference, and uplift modeling to ensure statistical rigor.
  • Own complex, high-profile analytical projects and turn ambiguous questions into actionable recommendations.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop data scientists and analysts.
  • Scale data science impact through automation, self-service, and democratized capabilities.
  • Develop customer segmentation and predictive models that inform the product roadmap.
  • Communicate analytical and technical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Design, and Commercial teams.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in data science or a similar quantitative role supporting a product organization.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Deep hands-on experience with statistical modeling, experimentation, multi-arm bandits, and machine learning methods such as regression, classification, and clustering.
  • Experience defining, implementing, and operationalizing product and feature-level metrics from scratch.
  • Proven ability to drive strategic impact and lead technical discussions with cross-functional partners.
  • Experience scaling analytics through automated processes, self-service tools, or data products.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical judgment skills.
  • Outstanding leadership experience mentoring and developing analysts or data scientists.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills across all levels of an organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Advanced programming background with the ability to build simulations and prototype data products (preferred).
  • Experience validating quantitative findings with qualitative methods such as surveys or user research (preferred).
  • Experience with applied AI such as NLP, LLMs, or Agentic AI for analytics (preferred).
  • Experience in a two-sided marketplace, e-commerce, or travel technology environment (preferred).
  • Master's degree or equivalent relevant programs (preferred).
