Description

  • Own end-to-end BI deliverables from requirements gathering through development, testing, documentation, and handoff.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models, reports, and dashboards aligned with a 'prime model' architecture to ensure a single source of truth.
  • Build and maintain Qlik Sense visualizations and dashboards using Qlik Cloud Service.
  • Migrate and re-platform existing SSRS reports into Power BI or Qlik Sense environments.
  • Gather and document requirements directly from business stakeholders and translate them into development specs and operational checklists.
  • Maintain and evolve existing semantic models, including complex finance, operations, and clinical models.
  • Ensure visual consistency and adherence to reporting templates and pixel-perfect report design.
  • Create and maintain data documentation including report catalog, data dictionary, measure/dimension definitions, and business glossary.
  • Support monthly KPI dashboard distribution (Qlik Sense), ad hoc development requests, and sunset/archive legacy reports with documentation.
  • Participate in recurring status and new-work sync meetings, proactively surface best-practice improvements, and manage work through Zoho.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience, including semantic modeling, DAX, and report design.
  • Solid experience with Qlik Sense (cloud-first; Qlik Cloud Service preferred) for data modeling and visualization.
  • Strong SQL / T-SQL skills for data exploration and query development.
  • Experience working with complex, multi-source data models and the ability to independently understand unfamiliar data schemas.
  • Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation such as data dictionaries, catalogs, and commented code.
  • Ability to gather requirements and translate them into development specifications and operational checklists.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills and comfort working asynchronously and autonomously across time zones.
  • Familiarity with Power BI lifecycle management (dev/test/prod workspace structure) and SSRS report migration projects (preferred).
  • Familiarity with SSIS and/or Databricks (data pipeline awareness), and experience with Zoho Projects or similar ticketing platforms (nice-to-have).
  • Exposure to Azure Virtual Desktop or similar remote development environments, Copilot/AI-assisted development tools, and working knowledge of HL7/FHIR standards (healthcare domain experience preferred).
