Description

  • Architect, deploy, and maintain persistent and transient AWS EMR clusters for business workloads.
  • Design and implement infrastructure deployment automation using CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CodePipeline, or equivalent tools.
  • Manage EC2, S3, and related AWS compute and storage resources for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor and support batch data processing workloads across the EMR environment.
  • Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and operational issues.
  • Perform maintenance, patching, scaling, access control, and security configuration for EMR and associated AWS services.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure reliable, secure, and automated operations.

Requirements

  • 7–8+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and AWS EMR administration.
  • Strong proficiency with AWS EMR, EC2, S3, and batch data environments.
  • Experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CodePipeline or equivalent CI/CD tools.
  • Deep understanding of Amazon EMR architecture, cluster lifecycles, and node configurations.
  • Experience with the Hadoop ecosystem, HDFS, and big data technologies preferred.
  • Exposure to AWS EKS and containerized workloads preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Kerberos authentication and enterprise security integration preferred.
