Description

  • Launch projects through hands-on implementation, assess existing infrastructure, and drive improvements.
  • Understand client needs and collaborate on technical roadmaps and impactful solutions.
  • Build continuous delivery and infrastructure evolution controls, processes, and automation.
  • Monitor projects and ensure technical expectations for deliverables are consistently met.
  • Provide DevOps, cloud, platform, and infrastructure engineering guidance to clients and internal teams.
  • Develop trusted partnerships with client engineering leadership.
  • Collaborate across Thoughtworks’ cloud and infrastructure practice, business development, marketing, and capability teams.
  • Adapt technical approaches and propose innovative solutions to business constraints and policies.

Requirements

  • Experience contributing to the design and implementation of enterprise or web-scale hosting platforms and administering application servers, web servers, and databases.
  • Deep understanding of cloud and virtualization platforms, infrastructure automation, and application hosting technologies.
  • Experience with software delivery teams, DevOps practices, Agile methods, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with at least one IaaS cloud platform and two or more application runtime platforms, such as physical or virtual servers, container clusters, serverless platforms, or databases.
  • Ability to write scripts in at least one scripting language and build Linux servers, Windows servers, or container clusters.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools across different technology stacks.
  • Experience using monitoring systems for availability, performance, or security.
  • Understanding of infrastructure vulnerabilities, secrets management, network security, and software supply chain security.
  • Experience with unit testing, automated testing, stress testing, or performance testing is preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, and ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
