Description

  • Provide expertise in DevOps, cloud, platform, and infrastructure engineering for internal teams and client sites.
  • Assess client needs and collaborate with stakeholders to build technical roadmaps and solutions aligned to business goals.
  • Build and maintain controls and processes for continuous delivery and infrastructure evolution using automation tools.
  • Work closely with client engineering leaders and US-based teams to communicate technical concepts and deliver outcomes.
  • Implement projects hands-on, evaluate existing infrastructure, and drive improvements.
  • Help shape Thoughtworks’ cloud and infrastructure practice through collaboration with internal practitioners and business teams.
  • Monitor deliverables and ensure technical expectations are consistently met.
  • Adapt and propose innovative solutions to current constraints and business policies.

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience in infrastructure engineering or DevOps with AWS experience.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, Amazon EC2, Python, and Terraform.
  • Knowledge of cloud security topics including AWS VPC Network Security, IAM Roles Anywhere, Linux and container hardening, vulnerabilities, secrets management, and supply chain security.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Github Actions and CloudFormation.
  • Advanced/fluent English communication skills for working with US-based client teams.
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise or web-scale hosting platforms.
  • Experience administering application servers, web servers, and databases.
  • Experience with DevOps philosophies, Agile methods, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with at least one IaaS cloud platform and two or more runtime platforms such as physical servers, virtual servers, container clusters, serverless, or databases.
  • Ability to write scripts in at least one scripting language and build Linux servers, Windows servers, or container clusters.
  • Experience with monitoring systems for availability, performance, or security.
  • Preferred: experience with unit testing, automated testing tools, stress testing, and performance testing.
