Description

  • Assess client needs and develop technical roadmaps and impactful platform solutions.
  • Design and implement innovative solutions addressing technical constraints and business policies.
  • Build controls and processes for continuous delivery and infrastructure and application evolution, automating delivery stages.
  • Lead monitoring and quality assurance to ensure project deliverables meet technical expectations.
  • Provide expertise and guidance in DevOps, cloud, platform, and infrastructure engineering.
  • Build trusted partnerships with client engineering and commercial leadership.
  • Collaborate with business development, marketing, and capability teams to strengthen Thoughtworks’ cloud and infrastructure practice.
  • Guide clients in adopting agile ways of working and DevOps collaboration practices.

Requirements

  • Experience leading collaborative design of enterprise or web-scale hosting platforms.
  • Deep understanding of cloud and virtualization platforms, infrastructure automation, and application hosting technologies.
  • Experience with DevOps philosophies, Agile methods, Infrastructure as Code, and software delivery teams.
  • Experience with server virtualization, at least one IaaS cloud platform, and two or more application runtime platforms, such as physical or virtual servers, containers, serverless platforms, or databases.
  • Ability to script in at least one scripting language and build or administer Linux servers, Windows servers, or container clusters.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools across web or mobile technology stacks.
  • Experience with monitoring, observability, availability, performance, security, stress testing, or distributed tracing systems.
  • Understanding of infrastructure vulnerabilities, secrets management, network security, and software supply chain security.
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to nontechnical audiences and partnering with CTO, CIO, or COO leadership.
  • Experience with unit testing, automated testing, stress testing, or performance testing is preferred.
