Description

  • Serve as a key contact for commercial, tax, and business-related questions across the group together with the Director Group Tax.
  • Handle complex national and international tax matters independently and develop practical solutions for different business cases.
  • Own ongoing tax calculations, deferred tax calculations, and the preparation of tax returns for partnerships and corporations.
  • Support tax audits and lead tax structuring projects, company transactions, and tax opinions.
  • Determine the effective tax rate and support analysis of tax impacts on corporate management.
  • Continuously develop tax compliance and tax reporting processes and ensure all declaration and documentation obligations are met.
  • Support acquisition and business development activities from a tax perspective.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders including tax advisors, auditors, legal counsel, and consultants.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in business administration, law, or a comparable qualification with a tax focus.
  • Successfully passed the tax advisor examination.
  • Several years of relevant tax experience, ideally in an international company or a tax advisory/audit firm.
  • Strong knowledge of German and international tax law, tax accounting, deferred taxes, and tax return preparation for partnerships and corporations.
  • Preferred experience supporting tax audits, tax structuring projects, or M&A transactions.
  • Structured and self-directed working style with the ability to stay on top of complex topics.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly to different audiences.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to help shape processes and structures in a dynamic growth company.
  • Fluent German and very good English skills, written and spoken.
  • Ability to work fully remote within Germany and travel to Hamburg for project meetings about once per quarter or as needed.
