Description

  • Translate advanced sports analytics and breaking news into clear, visually compelling on-screen graphics.
  • Prepare the daily show rundown and build all required visual assets before airtime.
  • Operate the live graphics system during broadcasts or coordinate with the technical director for real-time execution.
  • Create custom graphics quickly during live breaking news situations under tight deadlines.
  • Maintain The Athletic and The New York Times visual brand standards across every episode.
  • Manage and organize the graphics playout library and keep templates and assets up to date.
  • Streamline workflows between Adobe Creative Suite templates and the live broadcast graphics engine.
  • Package and hand off graphics elements for immediate use in social clips and posts.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Producer and Associate Producer on the full daily graphics package.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience producing or operating graphics for live sports, news, or studio talk shows.
  • Deep proficiency with broadcast graphics engines such as Ross Xpression, Vizrt, or Chyron, or cloud-based live graphics systems such as Singular.live, vMix, or OBS.
  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
  • Strong understanding of sports culture and advanced metrics.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with zero tolerance for typos, incorrect names, or wrong logos.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and turn around graphics in under 60 seconds during live shows.
  • Experience making quick changes to motion templates is preferred.
  • Familiarity with premium live broadcast presentation standards is preferred.
