Description

  • Serve as a trusted CFO-level financial leader for a portfolio of SMB clients and guide them on the Path to 12% profitability.
  • Lead financial strategy, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting across multiple client engagements.
  • Design, customize, and maintain financial models, dashboards, KPIs, and operational scorecards aligned to client goals.
  • Facilitate executive-level conversations to drive pricing optimization, margin expansion, labor efficiency, and operational improvements.
  • Interpret financial data and translate insights into clear, actionable business recommendations for owners and leadership teams.
  • Lead initiatives in pricing strategy, operational reporting, incentive compensation plans, and long-term business strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve methodologies, client delivery, and service offerings.
  • Manage multiple client engagements and measure success by measurable improvement in client operating profit margins.

Requirements

  • 10–20 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, or consulting (roles such as CFO, Fractional CFO, Controller, FP&A Director, management consultant, or senior financial leader).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required; MBA preferred.
  • Hands-on experience supporting small to mid-sized businesses (experience supporting $3M–$50M+ annual revenue clients; familiarity with $3M–$100M clients noted).
  • Proven ability to drive profitability improvement, margin expansion, and cash-flow optimization through financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Experience with financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and KPI development and reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, dashboards, and analytics/decision-support tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial or business-owner mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements part-time (~30 hours per week) and must reside in Texas or Georgia.
