Description

  • Develop and implement a needs-based professional development strategy for HALO Angola.
  • Conduct staff surveys, partnership evaluations, and labour market research to identify training needs.
  • Build and formalise partnerships with training schools, academies, and other educational providers.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the staff training offer and additional resourcing needs.
  • Recruit, train, and manage professional development staff, including HALO teachers.
  • Review and centralise curricula, educational materials, and teacher performance metrics.
  • Develop annual and monthly training work plans with senior management and department heads.
  • Monitor, review, and improve the impact and effectiveness of professional development activities.
  • Manage training data, records, trackers, and reporting deliverables in line with HALO standards and donor compliance.
  • Coordinate training communication and collaboration across departments, location offices, and field camps.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in management at an academic or training centre or school.
  • Qualification or degree in teaching, preferably with adult-focused learning.
  • Demonstrable experience designing curricula and training programmes.
  • Strong strategic thinking and initiative.
  • Excellent computer and word processing skills.
  • Experience leading and working effectively across multiple teams or multiple locations.
  • Exceptional organisational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken Portuguese.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is desirable.
