Description

  • Provide technical leadership for electrical hardware and software design on industrial projects.
  • Develop bid, construction, installation, and project documentation packages.
  • Design and program PLC/DCS, HMI, VFD, and servo motion systems from hardware design through startup.
  • Coordinate electrical engineering activities and lead design/CAD resources.
  • Support machine design projects across consumer products and industrial markets.
  • Prepare project schedules, specifications, cost estimates, and other deliverables.
  • Gather field data and provide installation, startup, troubleshooting, and production equipment support.
  • Manage work across multiple project and client teams while interfacing directly with clients.
  • Develop client relationships and identify future work opportunities.
  • Travel to client sites and Foth offices as needed, approximately 35% annually; occasional nights and weekends may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a two- or four-year technology degree supplemented by equivalent technical training or experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering or design experience in manufacturing environments, including complex-project troubleshooting.
  • Recent experience with industrial linear actuators, end effectors, machine vision, and sensing technologies.
  • Experience with Rockwell ControlLogix PLCs, FactoryTalk View HMIs, PowerFlex VFDs, Kinetix servo systems, and Ethernet/EtherNet/IP networking.
  • Experience designing electrical schematics, control panels, P&IDs, loop configurations, and instrumentation systems.
  • Experience developing construction, installation, bid, and engineering documentation.
  • Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain one within 24 months (preferred).
  • Knowledge of ISO 13849-1, RIA 15.06, and risk assessments (preferred).
  • Preferred experience with robotics, vision systems, AutoCAD Electrical, MES/database programming, Siemens or Schneider/Modicon systems, programming languages, packaging automation, and process industries.
