Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services using Go microservices and cloud-native tooling.
  • Lead architectural modernization and modularization efforts to improve scalability, observability, and developer velocity.
  • Own the full lifecycle of backend systems, including API design, data modeling, deployment, monitoring, testing, telemetry, and iteration.
  • Decompose monoliths, migrate legacy code, and build shared frameworks and reusable service components.
  • Evaluate and help adopt new backend technologies and engineering practices.
  • Apply AI-driven tools and automation to accelerate development, code analysis, testing, and reliability.
  • Build and improve observability standards, telemetry pipelines, fault-tolerance strategies, and production diagnostics.
  • Partner with product, mobile, and data teams to deliver seamless cross-platform experiences.
  • Drive technical discussions, mentor developers, and influence backend and infrastructure strategy.
  • Contribute to roadmap decisions and multi-team initiatives across the engineering organization.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in Go; experience with PHP for legacy systems is a bonus.
  • Proven experience architecting modular, maintainable, high-performance microservices.
  • Strong background in system design, observability, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Argo CD, Protobuf, CI/CD pipelines, and auto-scaling architectures.
  • Experience using AI and automation to improve developer velocity, reliability, or system intelligence.
  • Ability to lead roadmaps and initiatives aligned to business objectives.
  • Experience as a technical leader who has influenced roadmap decisions and multi-team work.
  • Experience mentoring and leading developers, and contributing to culture or process improvements.
  • Knowledge of observability and production-readiness concepts such as instrumentation, SLOs/SLIs, fault tolerance, runbooks, incident triage, telemetry, and diagnostics.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior engineering and product leadership in a fast-moving environment.
