Description

  • Ingest, transform, and warehouse healthcare-related data from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Product Managers, Machine Learning Engineers, and BI Analysts on efficient data processing and analysis.
  • Develop tools and solutions for data integration, data warehousing, and data modeling.
  • Design, build, optimize, and maintain ETL pipelines and data infrastructure.
  • Improve data platform performance and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain data documentation and data lineage.
  • Support data flows and transformations that enable advanced analytics and machine learning model development.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends in data engineering.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • Extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL pipelines.
  • Strong coding experience in Python or Scala for data processing.
  • Experience with Apache Spark (PySpark or Scala).
  • Experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Athena, and EMR.
  • Experience with data and entity-relationship modeling for data warehouses and analytics solutions.
  • Deep understanding of relational and non-relational databases (SQL/NoSQL).
  • Comfort working with unstructured and semi-structured data, including web scraping.
  • Experience working in a professional software environment with git, JIRA/Confluence or similar issue tracking tools, CI, code reviews, and Agile processes (Scrum/Lean).
  • Basic knowledge of data privacy and security principles.
  • Interest in or experience with AI/ML applications, including model development or deployment workflows.
  • Preferred: knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, ICD, SNOMED, and LOINC.
  • Preferred: experience with Delta Lake and/or Databricks.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience with machine learning workflows and preparing data for model training and evaluation.
  • Preferred: experience validating data quality, preferably with test automation.
  • Preferred: experience with Docker and containerization.

  • Base salary range of $127,500 to $172,500, depending on geography and experience.
