Description

  • Lead analysis of hospital quality performance, rankings, ratings, and CMS pay-for-performance programs.
  • Replicate quality program methodologies using quality measures, risk adjustment, Medicare claims, and public reporting data.
  • Identify the factors driving customer results and recommend high-impact improvement opportunities.
  • Own data sourcing, cleaning, quality assurance, and validation standards for analytic outputs.
  • Design, build, and maintain customer-facing dashboards, reporting, and benchmarking tools.
  • Present findings and recommendations to customer and internal executives across pre-sales, sales, renewals, and ongoing engagements.
  • Partner with Data Scientists and Process Improvement Consultants on methodology, scoping, and delivery.
  • Mentor analysts, review work for accuracy, and develop repeatable analytic processes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of healthcare data analytics experience focused on hospital quality, clinical outcomes, or performance improvement.
  • Experience with CMS Star Ratings, U.S. News Best Hospitals, Leapfrog, Vizient Quality & Accountability, or CMS HRRP, HAC, or VBP programs.
  • Experience working with Medicare claims data, including MedPAR and Standard Analytic Files, and CMS public reporting data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, health sciences, or equivalent relevant experience; or a related quantitative master’s degree.
  • Demonstrated experience leading analytic projects from scoping through delivery.
  • Advanced SQL and proficiency in Python or R.
  • Expertise in statistical methods, benchmarking, performance measurement, business intelligence, and data visualization.
  • Ability to translate ambiguous questions into analytic plans and communicate complex findings to executive and nontechnical audiences.
  • Experience mentoring analysts and reviewing work for quality and accuracy.
  • Preferred: customer-facing or consulting experience, Six Sigma or Lean certification, Tableau, Looker Studio, Plotly/Dash, cloud platforms, Jupyter, advanced Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides, or Smartsheet.
