Description

  • Lead the integration of a standalone React application into the Shopify Liquid framework and ensure reliable communication between both environments.
  • Implement real-time pricing logic based on 2D customization selections such as fabrics, patches, and hardware.
  • Configure the add-to-cart and checkout flow to pass custom design metadata and generated 2D thumbnails as line-item properties.
  • Build or configure webhook-based backend automation to send design briefs and high-resolution assets to the production team after an order is processed.
  • Ensure the embedded customizer is responsive, mobile-optimized, and aligned with a premium luxury shopping experience.
  • Modify existing Shopify themes to support the customizer embed without disrupting site-wide styles.
  • Use secure API patterns to protect custom pricing logic and related data exchange.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Shopify Plus, custom apps, and the Storefront and Admin APIs.
  • Strong proficiency in React.js.
  • Experience with CSS-in-JS or Tailwind for maintaining visual consistency.
  • Expert knowledge of the postMessage API for syncing customizer state with the Shopify theme.
  • Familiarity with dynamic image composition, canvas exports, or 2D layering logic to generate design previews.
  • Ability to work with Shopify Liquid and theme development.
  • Deep understanding of HMAC validation and secure API proxying.
  • Previous experience in luxury e-commerce or high-ticket made-to-order retail is preferred.
  • Experience with Klaviyo or Orderly for asset-rich transactional emails is preferred.
