Description

  • Conduct research and development in software design, testing, and electronic data processing applications.
  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications software and systems containing logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Develop compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating system components to support business and product applications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (hardware engineers, system designers, analysts, and programmers) to plan, design, integrate, and deploy software solutions.
  • Determine computer user needs and analyze system capabilities to resolve programming challenges and optimize software performance.
  • Design and modify software systems using mathematical modeling and scientific analysis to predict outcomes and evaluate feasibility.
  • Ensure adherence to software engineering standards, best practices, and compliance requirements; coordinate system installations and monitor functionality to meet technical specifications.
  • Provide technical support to operational strategies, identify and forward growth opportunities, and participate in program growth efforts.
  • Ensure contractual deliverables and program-specific LCAT requirements are met or exceeded and that 100% of planned hours are worked and recorded.
  • Complete personal PDP, attend staff meetings and Storytime (with camera on), and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in designing, developing, testing, and debugging software applications.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with software development methodologies, version control systems, and testing frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate system performance and optimize solutions.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience or willingness to work on defense- or government-contracted projects and meet contract-specific requirements.
  • Preferred: experience with Agile development and DevOps methodologies.
  • Preferred: knowledge of cloud computing, containerization, microservices, cybersecurity best practices, database management, data analytics, system integration, performance optimization, and scalability considerations.
