Description

  • Own and manage GCP environments supporting SynMax analytics platforms, including deployment, uptime, and scalability.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to enable rapid, reliable deployments.
  • Build and deploy cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) to ensure scalability, security, resiliency, and high availability.
  • Operate and orchestrate containerized and serverless workloads (Kubernetes/GKE, Docker, Cloud Run) and manage microservices deployments.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, DataDog, NewRelic, Splunk, or similar) to detect and diagnose issues early.
  • Lead incident response, perform root cause analysis (RCA), produce runbooks, and drive post-incident improvements.
  • Collaborate with product and stakeholders to review environments, identify cloud cost-optimization opportunities (FinOps), and influence technical roadmap and architecture.
  • Manage cloud networking, security, and access controls (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, DNS, load balancers, VPNs).
  • Develop automation to reduce manual effort, improve scalability, and coordinate effectively with remote teams across time zones.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
  • 5+ years of experience in an Infrastructure, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering role with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Proven experience with DevOps methodologies and building robust CI/CD pipelines (experience with GitHub Actions is preferred).
  • Experience designing, managing, and deploying cloud infrastructure focused on scalability, security, resiliency, and high uptime.
  • Experience with microservices, serverless patterns, containerization, and container orchestration (Kubernetes/GKE, Docker, Cloud Run).
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack, DataDog, NewRelic, or Splunk.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking, security, and access management (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, DNS, load balancers, full/partial VPNs).
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Go, and/or Python.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience with GCE, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, BigQuery; experience managing cloud costs/FinOps; familiarity with ISO27001 and CMMC Level 2.
