Description

  • Develop enterprise Azure architecture designs across infrastructure, platform services, networking, security, and governance.
  • Advise clients on cloud adoption, migration strategies, and hybrid cloud integration.
  • Create architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical specifications to support implementation and governance.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, security, project teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions.
  • Lead architectural reviews and ensure compliance with regulatory and organisational standards.
  • Guide the cloud adoption journey and recommend technical improvements and optimisations.
  • Own end-to-end technical delivery, including planning, build, testing, deployment, and operational handover.
  • Support presales activities including proposals, tender responses, solution design, and statement of work definitions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for assessments, strategies, and roadmaps.
  • Stay current with Azure innovations and emerging technology trends.

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing and delivering Microsoft Azure cloud solutions at enterprise scale.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure infrastructure services, PaaS, security, networking, and governance.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep, ARM templates, and Terraform, and automation tools.
  • Understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and integration with on-premises environments.
  • Deep working knowledge of Microsoft CAF and WAF.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards relevant to energy, finance, or public sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Experience with identity management solutions such as Entra ID.
  • Strong pre-sales capability and experience designing complex solutions for mid-market to enterprise customers.
  • 5+ years of hands-on technical consulting or architect experience in a channel, vendor, or customer-side role.
  • Strong background producing high-quality documentation and solution artefacts.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-700, and AZ-500 are essential.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-140, AI-102, and SC-300 are desirable.
  • Experience with AWS is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft, Zero Trust, NCSC, NIST, ISO27001, and Cyber Essentials frameworks and how they translate to controls and baselines.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies such as Agile and DevOps.
  • Experience planning and migrating from on-premises or cloud environments to Microsoft Azure using tools such as ASR, Azure Migrate, and Data Migration Assistant.
  • PowerShell, Graph API, and automation experience.
