Description

  • Grow a healthy, collaborative, continuously improving engineering culture.
  • Apply Tribal Leadership principles and keep the team operating at level 4+.
  • Organise team rituals and ceremonies and promote Agile ways of working.
  • Make the team’s mission clear both internally and externally.
  • Coach engineers at all levels and support individuals facing work-related challenges.
  • Attract, mentor, support, onboard, and retain top infrastructure engineering talent.
  • Work with other Engineering Managers to create hiring plans and align hiring processes with team needs.
  • Drive roadmap execution while balancing new features and technical debt.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and keep high-level stakeholders informed.
  • Remove obstacles, monitor metrics, and ensure the team delivers against goals.
  • Partner with the Product Manager to align outputs, goals, and priorities.
  • Own and improve team processes and influence engineering direction.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • Prior experience coordinating a team and delivering on a roadmap.
  • Experience managing infrastructure teams.
  • A people-first approach focused on learning, growth, and supporting engineers.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Deep understanding of communication, group dynamics, and coaching.
  • Ability to build trust and psychological safety within teams.
  • Comfort providing feedback and handling difficult conversations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Understanding of modern frameworks and technologies, even in a non-hands-on management role.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in the crypto or blockchain ecosystem.
  • Experience managing remote distributed teams (preferred).
  • Comfort working in a hyper-growth scaleup environment (preferred).
