Description

  • Translate company, product, and team strategy into a clear design vision and communicate it across leadership and the company.
  • Lead and grow the product design team while partnering closely with Product Management and Engineering leadership.
  • Shape Swiftly’s design practice, elevate craft, and set the standard for product experiences across the organization.
  • Lead design reviews and improve the quality and rigor of design critique.
  • Scale and refine design systems, design operations, and systematized user research practices.
  • Set and maintain design standards across native mobile, web platform, and agentic workflows.
  • Guide the team to balance design judgment with direct user feedback and anecdotal insights.
  • Drive rapid iteration by encouraging early sharing, living prototypes, and dev-ready designs aligned with development.
  • Champion AI-accelerated design prototyping across discovery, design, and development workflows.
  • Represent Product Design in company leadership meetings and bring customer insights into strategic discussions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product design experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Strong hands-on product design ability, with an expectation to stay engaged in the craft as a manager.
  • Proven success shaping design strategy for B2B or B2B2C products with consumer-grade usability standards.
  • Experience hiring and coaching both junior and senior designers through the full design lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to scale design organizations and systems in matrixed, cross-functional environments.
  • Experience creating and maintaining multi-platform design systems across mobile, desktop, APIs, and related surfaces.
  • Deep experience designing complex, data-heavy applications that feel intuitive and well-crafted.
  • Experience designing AI/ML-powered products that build customer trust, preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complexity into a clear point of view.
  • Passion for mobility, sustainability, or mission-driven work with real-world impact.
  • Ability to represent design with executive teams and enterprise customers.
  • Hardware design experience is a plus.

  • Competitive salary with a US range of $160,000 to $265,000 OTE or a Canadian range of $175,000 to $220,000 OTE.
