Description

  • Design and improve content compliance policies, SOPs, workflows, SLAs, and review controls.
  • Manage cross-functional reviews and prioritize requests according to deadlines, business needs, and regulatory risk.
  • Review claims, disclosures, disclaimers, testimonials, endorsements, comparative claims, and structure/function claims for accuracy and substantiation.
  • Interpret FDA, FTC, USP <795>/<797>/<800>, HIPAA, and federal and state pharmacy requirements for prescription, OTC, and supplement content.
  • Advise stakeholders on regulatory risks, emerging enforcement trends, digital marketing issues, and required permissions or notices.
  • Serve as a compliance liaison across Compliance, Clinical, Marketing, Communications, Brand, Sales, Legal, and Privacy teams.
  • Develop playbooks, language guides, training materials, and resources covering claims, fair balance, disclosures, testimonials, endorsements, and social media.
  • Maintain auditable records of reviews, approvals, decisions, and supporting rationale for audits, inspections, and external reviews.
  • Manage review queues and tools such as Asana; track KPIs and recommend process improvements.
  • Respond to compliance inquiries with clear guidance, rationale, and recommended actions.

Requirements

  • PharmD required.
  • 2+ years of experience in pharmacy compliance, regulatory affairs, MLR/content review, or a related healthcare, pharmacy, biotech, or digital health field.
  • Direct experience reviewing marketing, educational, or other regulated content.
  • Strong knowledge of USP <795>/<797>/<800>, FDA and FTC advertising requirements, HIPAA marketing requirements, and pharmacy regulations.
  • Ability to translate complex regulations into practical, scalable guidance and defensible decisions.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally, educating non-compliance teams, and influencing without formal authority.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, communication, organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance regulatory requirements with marketing and business objectives.
  • Experience developing and maintaining SOPs and compliance processes.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; Asana and Canva experience preferred. Juris Doctor or formal regulatory education/certification is also preferred.

  • Annual salary of $120,000–$140,000 USD.
