Description

  • Serve as the regional subject matter expert on state regulations and primary compliance contact for leadership and market stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Market Compliance Managers across the region.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, coordinate inspections, and respond to regulatory inquiries.
  • Coordinate reporting and responses for major regulatory issues, including adverse events, recalls, operational changes, product concerns, and security matters.
  • Develop and implement regional compliance strategies, frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee compliance execution across retail and production operations, identifying risks and corrective actions.
  • Partner with Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs to monitor and influence regulatory developments.
  • Lead risk assessments, corrective action plans, site visits, compliance reporting, dashboards, and key performance indicators.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, expansions, and product commercialization through regulatory assessments and submissions.
  • Collaborate on compliance training and enforce accountability for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in compliance, operations, or regulatory functions within a highly regulated industry preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading or managing compliance programs.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic compliance initiatives across multiple locations.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and experience working with government agencies.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to assess and prioritize risks and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Demonstrated integrity, ethics, empathy, executive presence, and commitment to mentoring.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver’s license, pass required background checks, and maintain all applicable legal and company compliance requirements.

Benefits

  • $120,000–$140,000 USD pay range based on experience, qualifications, and/or location.
  • Potential eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive based on organizational and individual performance.
