Description

  • Lead strategy development and implementation for project controls systems and tools.
  • Partner with executive leadership and Project Directors as a key liaison on project controls matters.
  • Lead financial planning and forecasting for capital projects, including budget development, cost tracking, and variance analysis.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on project financial health, earned value metrics, and cost performance indicators.
  • Manage project controls staff and oversee budget and cost controls, project setup, forecasting, scheduling, change management, and claims analysis.
  • Support Project Managers in tracking overall project health and maintaining timely communication plans.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time visibility into project status, risks, and KPIs.
  • Support risk mitigation efforts by evaluating impacts to project objectives and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project-level third-party audits to ensure adherence to controls guidelines, industry best practices, and contractual requirements.
  • Define roles, responsibilities, workflows, technical requirements, and operating procedures to improve project controls effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative surveying, engineering, construction management, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Demonstrated Project Controls technical knowledge and management skills.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in construction and project management.
  • 10+ years of management experience related to project controls, preferred or required as stated in the posting.
  • 10+ years of experience within the mission critical space.
  • Experience with a general contractor, preferred.
  • Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to clearly identify and articulate issues.
  • Experience with mega-projects or portfolio projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, SharePoint, ACC, and project management software platforms.
  • Ability to support annual goal setting, career development planning, training, performance reviews, and performance improvement processes.
