Description

  • Develop code to integrate mature hardware systems and advanced algorithms into mission systems.
  • Work with test leads to execute system testing across modeling and simulation and live test environments.
  • Leverage Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) infrastructure to support testing and validation.
  • Lead small teams to implement and test real-time applications using open architecture software principles.
  • Implement real-time systems in Modern C++ from verified algorithms developed in higher-level languages such as MATLAB.
  • Support customer discussions to understand requirements and shape product development.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across STR on system development and integration.
  • Develop robust fielded solutions that can serve as a foundation for future programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a PhD, 5 years with an MS, or 7 years with a BS.
  • Strong proficiency in modern C++ development, including multi-threaded applications.
  • Experience with test-driven development and CI/CD practices.
  • Familiarity with cross-platform development on Windows, Linux, and iOS.
  • Experience with version control workflows.
  • Experience with hardware/software integration.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required by the U.S. government for security clearance eligibility.
  • Self-motivated and able to excel with limited guidance.
  • 5+ years of C++ programming experience with open architecture systems (preferred).
  • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (preferred).
  • Experience with safety-critical software architectures (preferred).
  • Experience with real-time software development and algorithm optimization (preferred).
  • Familiarity with network protocols and debugging (preferred).
  • Familiarity with open standards such as OMS/UCI and A-GRA (preferred).
  • Experience with software quality tools such as static/dynamic analysis and automated testing frameworks (preferred).
