Description

  • Design, develop, and test distributed software applications.
  • Design and implement fault-tolerant systems that maintain service availability during catastrophic failures.
  • Evaluate requirements from other engineering teams for various applications.
  • Coordinate with other teams to resolve urgent software issues in deployed services.
  • Use monitoring and alerting services to troubleshoot complex programming problems at scale.
  • Work on distributed systems components including messaging, OLAP, and stream processing.

Requirements

  • Experience with Java, Go, or Python.
  • Understanding of relational database concepts and familiarity with SQL.
  • Experience debugging and monitoring production services.
  • Knowledge of operating system concepts including networking, multi-threading, and POSIX.
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux scripting.
  • Familiarity with dependency management tools such as Maven and Artifactory.
  • Experience with source control systems such as git and svn.
