Description

  • Oversee the quality management system, including SOPs, document control, training, quality records, audits, inspections, and quality KPI reporting.
  • Lead product testing programs covering stability, compatibility, packaging validation, AQL inspections, and production surveillance.
  • Review and approve product, material, packaging, batch, and release documentation, and manage quality holds and lot disposition.
  • Own quality gates, line trials, production readiness, third-party inspections, sampling plans, and retained product standards.
  • Partner with Product Development and Packaging teams on component design, technical specifications, manufacturability, compatibility, and packaging validation.
  • Manage supplier qualification, technical transfers, performance evaluation, third-party audits, corrective actions, and licensor quality compliance.
  • Lead non-conformance investigations, root-cause analysis, CAPA, risk assessments, deviation tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee consumer complaints, quality escalations, adverse event reporting, trend analysis, and related product or process improvements.
  • Support regulatory activities including product registrations, ingredient and claims reviews, filings, certifications, and regulatory updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related scientific field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of quality assurance experience in cosmetics, OTC, or medical device environments, with knowledge of FDA requirements.
  • Strong experience with technical packaging validation and testing processes.
  • Experience managing QMS processes, including document control, SOPs, and change control.
  • Experience with stability, compatibility, AQL, and production surveillance testing.
  • Experience in supplier quality, audits, compliance management, non-conformance investigations, CAPA, and root-cause analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite is preferred.
  • Experience handling complaints, trend analysis, and adverse event reporting.
  • Strong cross-functional project management, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred: beauty or wellness industry, regulatory, Greenlight Guru, KPI dashboard, manufacturing, or Los Angeles-area site visit experience.

Benefits

  • $90,000–$115,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus bonus eligibility.
  • Fully remote work environment.
