Description

Support research for the Budget and Entitlement Policy team.
Provide administrative and organizational support for the Budget and Entitlement Policy team.
Produce the weekly Debt Digest newsletter feature.
Synthesize fiscal developments into concise research summaries for publication.
Analyze budget data to inform topical briefs and policy analysis.
Draft content for working papers, blog posts, op-eds, tweets, and books.
Assist with original policy analysis and related publication materials.
Support the Director with topical briefs and other mission-related tasks.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in economics or political science.
No prior work experience required.
Strong interest in the intersection of economics, government policy, and libertarianism.
Familiarity with basic economic and budgeting concepts.
Empirical skills and familiarity with R, STATA, Excel, and other statistical programs are a plus.
Strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy.
Strong writing skills.
Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question assumptions, think independently, and advance new ideas.
Self-starter who is curious and detail-oriented.
