Description

  • Manage inbound and outbound patient calls professionally and efficiently.
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments and procedures.
  • Handle front-desk coordination, patient intake, and registration support.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations when needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in EMR/EHR systems.
  • Conduct biopsy result follow-up calls and communicate pathology results based on provider instructions.
  • Escalate urgent biopsy findings and patient concerns to providers promptly.
  • Coordinate follow-up appointments for procedures, treatment plans, and referrals.
  • Assist with prescription refill requests and patient messages.
  • Support providers with chart preparation and documentation updates while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Requirements

  • Active RN or USRN license required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a medical receptionist, clinical support, or dermatology-related role.
  • Dermatology experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience handling biopsy results, pathology follow-up, or post-procedure patient communication is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care workflows.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems; experience with dermatology platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet remote workspace.
