Description

  • Manage and follow up on accounts receivable with a focus on spine-related claims.
  • Review, analyze, and appeal denied or underpaid claims.
  • Perform AR cleanup by identifying and resolving outstanding balances.
  • Communicate with insurance companies to obtain claim status and resolve billing issues.
  • Prepare and submit appeal letters with proper supporting documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment posting follow-ups.
  • Maintain detailed records of claim activity, resolutions, and account status.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address billing discrepancies and improve billing processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of medical billing experience in a U.S.-based healthcare setting.
  • Proven experience with appeals and accounts receivable management.
  • Strong knowledge of orthopedic billing, especially spine procedures, is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding related to orthopedics.
  • Experience working with U.S. insurance payers, including commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Must be available for a full-time contractor role, 40 hours per week.
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM PST.
