Description

Assign accurate HTS classifications using GRIs, section/chapter notes, explanatory notes, administrative rulings, and CBP guidance.
Validate PGA implications and admissibility requirements for agencies such as FDA, EPA, and CPSC.
Screen for AD/CVD exposure using ACE and Federal Register sources.
Conduct structured research on tariff updates, regulatory changes, trade actions, and PGA requirements.
Review product information, including materials, construction, function, and specifications, to support accurate classification.
Identify product nuances that affect classification and admissibility.
Identify agency-specific risks or restrictions tied to PGA requirements.
Maintain detailed and structured trade compliance research to support import operations.

Requirements

Strong understanding of HTSUS and Canada HS structure, including GRIs, section/chapter notes, explanatory notes, CROSS rulings, and binding precedent.
Experience reviewing product descriptions, materials, images, and brand specifications with high attention to detail.
Ability to identify product nuances that affect classification and admissibility.
Familiarity with PGA requirements and the ability to identify agency-specific risks or restrictions.
Ability to conduct structured tariff and regulatory research.
Willingness to apply even if you do not meet all qualifications listed.
No college degree required; non-linear career paths are welcome.
