Description

  • Own high-visibility analytical programs that influence pricing strategy, assortment investment, and category portfolio decisions.
  • Build and maintain scalable analytical systems and self-service reporting infrastructure using SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
  • Lead financial modeling for PVM analysis, margin scenario planning, inventory economics, and category profitability.
  • Define and govern merchandising finance frameworks such as pricing guardrails, margin floor policies, and assortment ROI standards.
  • Translate complex analysis into clear strategic recommendations for VP- and C-level stakeholders.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, and FP&A to drive alignment on commercial decisions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to merchandising and category leaders on pricing, promotional investment, assortment strategy, and category P&L ownership.
  • Develop financial architecture for new SKU, brand, and assortment launches, including post-launch performance tracking.
  • Evaluate marketing spend ROI, incrementality, and demand elasticity to support investment trade-offs.
  • Independently source, transform, and shape complex datasets for merchandising insights and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Deep experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or merchandising finance, ideally within retail or ecommerce.
  • Strong track record of owning complex financial strategy and serving as a go-to authority across business functions.
  • Expert-level command of Price, Volume, Mix (PVM) analysis.
  • Advanced experience with SQL and Snowflake for data extraction, transformation, and self-service analytics.
  • Proficiency with Power BI and advanced Excel.
  • Proven ability to build financial frameworks from scratch and diagnose complex business drivers.
  • Experience leading margin, cannibalization, and scenario planning for new SKU, brand, or assortment launches.
  • Advanced experience in marketing spend analytics and incrementality measurement.
  • Seasoned perspective in retail or omnichannel finance, including brick-and-mortar, ecommerce, or both.
  • College degree not required; non-linear career paths are welcomed.
