Description

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services in Java.
Create and evolve APIs and services that connect user experiences with internal infrastructure.
Apply product requirements to technical implementation decisions.
Improve system architecture, performance, and developer experience.
Develop and enhance user-facing layers and frontend SDKs using React and TypeScript.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and data specialists across multiple teams.
Contribute to technical discussions and help shape platform decisions.
Support new subscription products, Synced Feeds, and the Spotify Open Access API.
Help build scalable subscription offerings for creators and publishers.

Requirements

Experience designing and developing backend applications in Java.
Solid understanding of React and TypeScript.
Experience delivering end-to-end experiences across backend, frontend, and APIs.
Strong software architecture knowledge.
Growth mindset and willingness to experiment.
Interest in agile software development and continuous learning.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate ideas clearly.
Experience with infrastructure-related technologies is a plus.
Experience mentoring and encouraging collaborative teams is a plus.

Benefits

Base salary range of $150,000 to $189,000 plus equity.
