Description

  • Guide student-athletes through their academic day over video and keep them focused, on task, and moving at pace.
  • Mentor students on track-specific athletic development, including training habits, competition mindset, recruiting, and balancing school with sport.
  • Build steady, credible relationships that provide guidance, accountability, and honest feedback.
  • Support students as they navigate the learning platform, work through difficult material, and develop study and time-management habits.
  • Reinforce standards for effort, focus, and conduct, offering direct feedback and earned praise.
  • Communicate clear, honest updates to parents and academy staff about academic progress, athletic development, and student needs next.

Requirements

  • Division I track experience is required and central to the role.
  • Experience working with young people in a coaching, tutoring, mentoring, teaching, camp counseling, or similar hands-on role.
  • Strong judgment with young athletes, including the ability to earn trust, hold standards, and give direct feedback.
  • Clear communication skills for one-on-one video mentoring and written updates to parents and staff.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to show up on time and follow through on student needs.
  • Remote U.S.-based with a reliable internet connection and a quiet space for video sessions.
  • Recent graduate with a fresh student-athlete perspective (preferred).
  • Experience coaching youth track or working in a structured athletic camp setting (preferred).
  • Teaching or tutoring experience (preferred).
  • Comfort with video, learning platforms, and messaging tools (preferred).

Benefits

  • Pay of $25/hour.
