Description

  • Lead key engineering and product decisions for the iOS app.
  • Ship production code for the Speechify iOS app.
  • Work within a dedicated product team to deliver new features and improvements.
  • Participate in product discussions and help shape the product roadmap.
  • Maintain and enhance the app’s complex existing architecture.
  • Support the app as it serves a growing user base and new product initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience building products that have scaled to a large user base.
  • Track record of taking products from inception to meaningful traction and owning the engineering effort.
  • Strong customer obsession and focus on delivering the best possible user experience.
  • Product thinking with the ability to make thoughtful decisions about product evolution.
  • Ability to work quickly, prioritize effectively, and decide what can ship now versus later.
  • Comfort working in a fast-growth, remote team and knowing when to engage or work heads-down.
  • Strong communication skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Technical skills in Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Experience with multithreaded programming.
  • Experience working with CI/CD infrastructure and Fastlane.
  • Experience with Git and different Git strategies.
  • Understanding of SOLID principles and writing classes according to SOLID.
