Description

  • Assist in the design of test fixtures, test setups, and test stands for production and development use.
  • Fabricate and build instrumentation, DAQ hardware, wire harnesses, and related test equipment to specification.
  • Build and maintain electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including high-pressure gas and high-voltage systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems independently.
  • Perform tests independently or with engineers according to test procedures and design requirements.
  • Summarize and distribute test data and preliminary results to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop and document test procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to test operations.
  • Lead anomaly investigations and drive issues toward resolution.
  • Provide testing support for production and assist with tracking and servicing calibrated instrumentation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in physics, mathematics, or engineering preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand electro-mechanical schematics.
  • Ability to read and understand plumbing and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
  • Ability to read mechanical assembly drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience installing and operating instrumentation such as strain gauges, deflection gauges, pressure transducers, load cells, thermocouples, RTDs, accelerometers, and analog circuitry.
  • Experience fabricating and repairing electrical systems, including soldering, crimping, and assembling connectors.
  • Experience fabricating high-pressure plumbing systems, including tube flaring, tube bending, and cone-and-threading.
  • Experience fabricating mechanical components and assemblies, including milling, drilling, turning, and torquing.
  • Knowledge or experience operating and maintaining pneumatic and hydraulic components, including valves, regulators, and accumulators.
  • Knowledge or experience with basic machine shop equipment, including sanders, grinders, saws, and benders.
  • Knowledge or experience with test operations procedures including hydraulic load control, hydro/pneumatic pressure control, and safe handling of flight parts.
  • Knowledge or experience with high-pressure or cryogenic systems, both gaseous and liquid, and with high-voltage AC/DC systems.
  • Knowledge or experience working with electrical components and/or systems.
  • 3+ years of experience with pressure testing.
  • Must be available to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, maneuver in tight spaces, and lift up to 35 lbs unassisted.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorization under ITAR.

Benefits

  • Pay range of $33.00–$39.00/hour for Level 1, $37.00–$44.00/hour for Level 2, and $41.00–$50.00/hour for Level 3.
