Description

  • Lead end-to-end regulatory strategy and policy development on accelerated timelines.
  • Advocate for satellite and telecom regulatory frameworks aligned with SpaceX business objectives.
  • Develop and support broadband and mobile spectrum policy positions for Starlink’s global success.
  • Represent SpaceX positions before international regulators, industry forums, and regional organizations.
  • Prepare advocacy materials and pleadings that incorporate technical analysis with technical teams.
  • Build forward-looking strategy based on spectrum, business, and regulatory policy issues affecting the program.
  • Advise the Starlink team on relevant policy developments and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in technology policy or at a technology company.
  • 3+ years of experience in telecommunications policy or in a product, business, or regulatory role at a technology company within the wireless or mobile industry (preferred).
  • Expert knowledge of technology and policy issues for wireless and/or satellite companies, and/or technical expertise with mobile device standards and wireless technologies (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of wireless or satellite industry practices and/or spectrum (preferred).
  • Experience working with regulators and government agencies (preferred).
  • High aptitude for learning new domains (preferred).
  • Professional fluency in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, or another international language (preferred).
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30–40% of the time.
  • Willingness to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
  • Must meet U.S. export control/ITAR requirements as a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

  • Pay range of $120,000 to $160,000 per year.
