Description

  • Drive system trades, requirements capture, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, PCB layout, and prototyping for complex electrical designs.
  • Drive hardware bring-up, debugging, documentation, manufacturing, and test of complex electronics.
  • Create simulation models of hardware to evaluate performance.
  • Contribute to pre-silicon verification, chip bring-up, and post-silicon validation.
  • Write Python automation software to interact with units under test, test equipment, instrumentation, and documentation systems.
  • Provide engineering support for the design, operation, improvement, and troubleshooting of facility electrical components and systems.
  • Challenge assumptions and work to find simple solutions to complex problems.
  • Design, develop, and verify reliable gateway electronics and customer products for satellite communication.
  • Design and implement automated test solutions for high-volume production environments.
  • Support failure analysis, root cause investigation, and compliance efforts across hardware and product systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or another STEM discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience in design or analysis of circuits, electronic products, or hardware; internships, co-ops, and club projects may count.
  • Graduation expected in fall 2025, spring 2026, or summer 2026.
  • Experience designing and implementing mixed-signal circuit boards using processors, FPGAs, Ethernet, multi-GHz SerDes, DRAM interfaces (DDR4), I2C, SPI, op amps, ADCs, DACs, and power supply components.
  • Experience with test equipment and measurement techniques such as oscilloscope, multimeter, electronic load, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, vector signal generator, and source measurement unit.
  • Experience with environmental testing such as HALT/HASS, thermal, humidity, shock, and vibration.
  • Demonstrated understanding of electrical schematics and electronics manufacturing to analyze and improve test coverage.
  • Demonstrated understanding of computers and programming languages, especially Python and C/C++.
  • Exposure to production machinery, industrial sensors, and equipment such as motion systems, dispense systems, temperature controllers, and laser distance sensors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Must meet ITAR export-control requirements as a U.S. citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise eligible for required authorization.
