  • Implement process control and in-situ monitoring for specialized chamber and nozzle manufacturing processes.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines that collect manufacturing telemetry for statistical process control, predictive analytics, and machine learning.
  • Design fixture and material handling solutions that support chamber and nozzle build and assembly while maintaining tight geometric tolerances.
  • Drive automation improvements through Python scripting, PLC logic, and advanced process modeling to reduce cycle time and scrap rates.
  • Partner with propulsion design, materials, production, and supply chain teams to translate new designs into scalable processes and resolve nonconformances.
  • Establish version-controlled automation software with rigorous testing to ensure systems are reliable, repeatable, and safe.
  • Support launch and test activities for hardware as needed, including work on the production floor.

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience automating manufacturing processes for metallic components.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with industrial automation tools such as PLC, LabVIEW, Beckhoff, Siemens, Fanuc, ABB, or Kuka.
  • Experience with robotic systems, machine vision, or real-time process control in a manufacturing environment.
  • Direct experience with rocket engine chamber or nozzle manufacturing; regeneratively cooled hardware is highly desired.
  • Experience in machining, welding, precision assembly, or heat treatments.
  • Background in non-destructive inspection automation and closed-loop quality control.
  • Experience with large-scale data collection from manufacturing processes and predictive models for defect detection or process optimization.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, precision metrology, and digital thread concepts.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment with aggressive schedules and strong collaboration skills.
  • Must be able to stand for long durations, stoop, bend, and work directly with hardware on the floor.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed, with flexibility for production and launch cadence.
  • Approximately 10% travel in support of launch and test of hardware.
  • Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorization.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary of $100,000-$115,000 for Level I or $110,000-$135,000 for Level II.
  • Eligibility for long-term incentives, including company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards.
  • Potential discretionary bonuses and access to an Employee Stock Purchase Plan with discounted stock purchases.
  • Comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
