Description

  • Design new hardware, redesign existing hardware, and modify PCBAs to improve reliability, manufacturability, and vehicle capabilities.
  • Own avionics hardware for flight across the full product life cycle.
  • Drive changes to electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to improve reliability and manufacturability.
  • Perform root cause investigations to characterize off-nominal unit behavior and mitigate risk.
  • Develop engineering justification to resolve production issues during assembly, test, and vehicle integration.
  • Design test setups and execute hardware validation through benchtop and environmental testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience in electronics hardware design, including academic projects, internships, or professional experience.
  • 1+ years of experience using electrical test equipment such as multimeters, signal generators, and oscilloscopes to verify hardware functionality.
  • Ability to design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits (preferred).
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout software such as KiCad, Altium, or Eagle (preferred).
  • Experience with electrical simulation software such as LTspice or SIMetrix (preferred).
  • Knowledge of design for excellence (DFX), root cause, derating, and related analyses (preferred).
  • Knowledge of digital communications interfaces including SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, and RS422 (preferred).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, autonomously driven, and demanding environment (preferred).
  • Extended hours and weekend work may be required to support critical project and mission milestones.

  • Base salary range of $105,000-$122,500 for Electrical Engineer/Level I and $120,000-$150,000 for Electrical Engineer/Level II.
