Description

  • Develop, deploy, and continuously improve machine learning and statistical models for credit and operational use cases.
  • Support portfolio management, loss mitigation, and loss forecasting through data science solutions.
  • Present model performance, findings, and insights to Credit, Risk, and business leaders.
  • Identify opportunities to apply advanced modeling approaches to complex business problems.
  • Partner with Model Risk Management to ensure models meet governance and rigor standards.
  • Monitor model performance through dashboards and KPI tracking.
  • Work with Data and Engineering teams to improve model development, deployment, monitoring, and recalibration processes.
  • Explore and use in-house, external, and open-source machine learning tools and algorithms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a quantitative field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience building and implementing machine learning and statistical models.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills for creating complex attributes and working with large datasets.
  • Strong knowledge of databases and tools/languages such as SQL, NoSQL, and Hive.
  • Demonstrated experience building efficient, reliable pipelines for large datasets in SageMaker and Snowflake.
  • Experience automating data extraction, processing, feature selection, model training, model monitoring, and documentation.
  • Excellent logical reasoning and communication skills for translating business requirements into data solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate data to uncover patterns.
  • Experience working closely with Product, Engineering, and Data Engineering teams.
  • Preferred experience in a lending organization.
  • Preferred experience working with Model Risk Management teams.
  • Preferred experience with model documentation and strong verbal and written communication.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $153,600 to $264,000 USD.
  • Eligible for a bonus and/or long-term incentives.
